Dear friends,

It’s been a quiet week at George’s Place. Four of our older boys have gone to spend time with their relatives in the village to make room for some of the younger boys returning – whose families are struggling to feed them.

‘being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.’ Philippians 1v6

Although we have enough accommodation for 30 boys, having all the boys on-site 24/7, with limited space for exercise can be challenging. I have just been sent some photos of Sunday worship with Shadrach playing his guitar and Emma and Simon Peter on the drums. All good fun!

Instead of sending my usual newsletter, I thought each week I would tell you ‘One Boy’s Story’, focusing on the older boys to begin with who we have looked after for a number of years.

I’m beginning with Timothy, who was the first boy that came and stayed with me in my home in 2015. Homes of Promise was registered as an NGO at that time but did not have George’s Place, a transitional home.

With love and prayers.

Jane
