Dear friends,

At this time of waiting between Ascension Day and Pentecost we find ourselves starting to venture out as the lockdown begins to ease, though still social distancing, we are beginning to meet up with friends and family. I have driven to Forty Hill a couple of times and enjoyed walks through Forty Hall and Whitewebbs with Sue. The rhododendrons were beautiful.

I also called on Lynn, (we sat the correct distance apart outside her home). Lynn had telephoned the ‘shippers’ who are now back at work and she had taken a number of boxes to Tottenham to send to Uganda, it takes three months for these to arrive. I have been asked to collect some things from The Church of the Ascension in Wembley for shipment so hopefully, I’ll be able to this coming week.

‘And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.’ Matthew 10:42

The lockdown continues in Uganda.

We have now been able to purchase food for the young lady in the slum area of Kisenyi who has taken in five new girls and three families recently. They were very grateful for the help Homes of Promise had given them. We have also sent support to a number of our boy’s families who are struggling.

Everything is fine at George’s Place. The boys enjoyed their normal Saturday treat of sodas and popcorn. I have little to report but have a number of photos that Shadrach has sent and wanted to share with you.

We appreciate all your prayers as we continue in these difficult times.

With love and thanksgiving for all your kindness.

Jane
