24th November, 2019

Dear friends,

It’s Saturday afternoon and I’m sitting in the Tottenham Hotspur coffee shop, drinking hot soup as Bob has gone on a tour of the Spurs grounds for the next hour.

We’ve been speaking at schools and churches this week, showing our new video and telling people and children about our work. We also had a Trustees Meeting, and have visited St. Paul’s Cathedral and Winchester Cathedral. We managed to take eight boxes and a sack full of shoes for shipment to Uganda.

Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is the LORD’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD of Hosts.” Zechariah 4v6

Bob leaves tomorrow to go back to Uganda, he’s been good at handing out our leaflets to everyone he has spoken to and even managed to have his photograph taken with the Archbishop of Canterbury and the new Bishop of Dover. The weather has been cold and damp and I’ve struggled with the lower temperatures. Yesterday we stayed with Martin and his family, (who visited George’s Place recently) in Petersfield and had a walk around the lake and to their local church.

We had a long email from Peace who has told us the boys at Maranatha School have finished their exams and broken up from school until February – we were expecting them to be home from the end of next week so the house must be noisy and busy.

We haven’t been telephoning Uganda very much as the calls from here are expensive. Now we have been approved as a home we will need to make sure all the Care Orders are in place.

Thank you to Jesus Church, Forty Hill for holding a Sunday lunch in aid of our work at the beginning of November we really appreciate all your hard work and support.

Hopefully, I will have an opportunity to see some of you in the next few weeks before I return to warmer climes!

With love and prayers,

Jane
