Dear friends,

On Tuesday morning Ken and Betty Mdoe visited George’s Place. I stayed with Ken and Betty when I arrived in Uganda in January 2014, we have been friends ever since and they have been supportive of me and our work over the last few years. When they are in the U.K. they worship at the Church of the Ascension in Wembley who also kindly support us. Ken signs our cheques with Nora who is on the Management Committee and we have really appreciated all his help over the last few months.

Ken and Betty spent a few hours talking with the staff, looking at our books and finances as well as spending time with the boys. I really appreciate them taking the time to visit and to ensure that everything is running well in the home.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:11‬

Tim has found himself a room near to Augustine’s and Simon Peter’s – it is going to be painted and he will probably be moving out of George’s Place before the end of the month. He continues working at the bakery and seems well settled now.

Mary the art teacher arrived on Thursday – the boys really loved her class – you can see by the photographs how hard they were concentrating on their drawings. The boys asked if she could come back another day but at present, we are being careful with our expenses. This week the boys were kept busy with homeschooling, crocheting sponges and art classes, they also went out to play football – unfortunately, the churches are not yet open in Uganda so they continue to have worship and prayers at home.

I have been given a number of footballs, cricket bats, frisbees, pens, pencils toothbrushes/toothpaste, trainers and T-shirts which I will send off to Uganda shortly – I know how delighted the boys will be.

Many thanks for all your prayers and support.

Jane
