It was wonderful meeting up with some of you last Sunday and thank you for all your support. I was extremely busy the first part of this week, collecting items which had been left at Jesus Church, for shipment on Monday, (thanks to Lynn and Revd. Chris for their help), saying goodbyes to friends/family and packing my cases. I left on Thursday evening but missed the connection flight at Dubai as we were delayed taking off. I’m still there and have been there since Friday morning, my flight back to Entebbe should be this morning, (Sunday) prayers please that my luggage arrives with me in Uganda as I haven’t seen it since leaving Heathrow. I’ve been staying in a very comfortable hotel thanks to Emirates, resting, relaxing and eating very tasty food. God is so….. good! It was a shame my hand luggage is full of laptops, sweets for the boys but very few essentials, I did manage to purchase some necessities!
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever. Psalm 73: 26
I’ve been in touch with Tresor and everything is fine in Uganda. Yesterday he went to Joseph’s graduation (plumbing) at Don Bosco, Kodet went with him. Griffin (baking) didn’t go as he was working but they collected his DIT Certificate as he also graduated. Peace visited the boys at Connect Africa this week but sadly I’ve no photos. The boys also visited Soleil and Tresor after swimming last week and enjoyed a juice. This week they all went to football, apart from Dan, who was not feeling well and stayed with Patrick. It’s Benard’s weekend off, so Stephen has been working.
Jessie was on his way to collect my car on Friday morning to meet me but thankfully he read my message before he got too far. Hope he’ll be at the airport this afternoon!
Sorry this is a short letter, I’m sure there will be more news next week.
Lots of love,
Jane x
