Kenneth, Trevor and Charles settle in, looking for Trevor’s brother, Visiting Days for Joshua and Saidi

Sunday 22nd March 2026

Dear friends,

Last Saturday, the boys visited Soleil and Tresor after swimming.

The three new boys are fine. They now have boxes with padlocks to keep their possessions in. Trevor is really good at football, and we have won the last two matches! We shall buy all three of them football kits and boots.

Peace, Tresor and Trevor went to Kisenyi on Wednesday looking for Trevor’s brother, unfortunately they could not find him but left a phone number as some of the other boys there know him. Prayers, please, that we find him so that he can also come into the project.

Kodet sent photos of his first motor mechanics lesson at the college and seems fine.

Tresor visited Joshua after church last Sunday. He eventually got home at 7.30 pm, these school meetings can go on for hours! He went to see Saidi on Saturday morning this week, as it was his Visiting Day, and we have had little news of him. Tresor saw his teacher who told him Saidi is known by everyone in the school, he is such a character! He did well in his first term exams, as he had been in P4 last year, and we have put him into P7, boarding. Peace felt he was capable of doing the work, and he had passed the entrance exam.

“I will give thanks to you Lord with all my heart
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”
Psalm 9 v1

Friday was Eid al-Fitr, and the younger boys enjoyed a day off school. I was out shopping that day, and there were so many people out and about dressed in their finest, especially at the Mall, celebrating the day.

I went to George’s Place today after the Ladies Fellowship, and later this afternoon we took the boys swimming. Charles is quite a demanding boy, he is loud, aggressive and likes fighting with the boys, they got their own back on him at the pool though, until Benard intervened. Raymond suggested we take him to Banana Village, as the pool is really deep there. He doesn’t like sharing my iPad or iPhone either – but he’ll learn. Trevor and Kenneth are fitting in well and much easier.

We’re still getting plenty of rain! We have the auditors coming in this coming week, and Petra has been busy making sure everything is in place for them to check.

The boxes have at last arrived from the U.K. and a small children’s bike that was donated I sent for Petra’s little girl Myra, who is really happy with it but only just fits her, I think Myles will enjoy as soon as he’s big enough.

Thank you for all your love and support.
