Kodet has taken his exams, Griffin preparing papers for work at The Speke Hotel
Plea for second-hand smart phones, trainers, football boots and a hand sewing machine!
Sunday 19th October 2025
Good morning friends,
Kodet has been taking his Senior 4 exams this week and looking from the photos seems not to have been phased by them!
The young boys have all been at school but continue to keep themselves busy, washing their clothes, doing the household chores and enjoying themselves.
I spoke to Joseph (plumber) Monday morning who was in the office, he still hasn’t received his National ID which he really needs for obtaining work – he started the process months ago but things take time in Uganda and you need to have patience – I believe some ID’s will be issued shortly as it is coming up to election time in January and the young people won’t be able to vote without them.

Griffin has been asked to submit numerous papers for working at The Speke Hotel and needed letters from the local LC 1, police, as well as ID (which he has), CV, application letter, references, Covid vaccination card, 3 passport photos, next of kin documents with ID, NSSF no. Hopefully he will get the position, prayers please.
I am away this weekend visiting my son in Winchester but will be home on Monday and visiting St. Peter with St. Martin’s MU in Edmonton on Monday afternoon.
I did talk with Petra this week, who is fine and have been in regular contact with Tresor who keeps me updated about the boys. Prayers please for Tim, Godfrey and Emma (our older boys who seem to be struggling).
The boys are off swimming this afternoon, Ian called in this morning to check on them and I spoke to him this afternoon – he says all is well!
Thank you for believing in our boys with your prayers and loving support, it is wonderful to see how so many of their lives has been transformed.
With love and prayers.
