Posho and beans, Musumba and Shaffick back

Dear friends,

This week Homes of Promise has been able to deliver sacks of posho and beans with oil to one of the poor areas of Kampala, where people are struggling to find enough to eat. Flavia who runs a small home there, helping street children, distributed some of the food, in small amounts, to her neighbours. This was a very kind and generous act, she could have just kept all the food we had given for the children and women she has taken in during lockdown but she chose to share. I thank the Lord for people like Flavia having very little themselves but willing to help others.

The boys at George’s Place are all fine

• Emma went back to his grandparents on Monday, by bus, and arrived safely.
• Musumba arrived back at George’s Place on Saturday.
• Shaffick also came back on Saturday, he has lost weight but will probably soon put it back on!
• Shadrach and Sam have been teaching the boys but we are looking for a part-time qualified teacher for a few hours a week to be helping the younger boys until they start back to school.
