This week I received a message from Hedwig, the lady who called to see me at George’s Place earlier this year and collected two large boxes of baby and children’s clothes for the school/home she runs in the village. She has sent me some photos of the children in the larger ‘fish and chip’ jumpers which I’m attaching.
‘What should we do then?’ the crowd asked. John answered, ‘Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.’ Luke 3 v10/11
Things are slowly returning back to normal in the home.
I collected from friends and took a large box of clothes/trainers for the boys to the shipping agent, which are now on their way. Ayoub, a Ugandan, who sends things for us is happy to be back at work. Last year’s accounts have been collected from Geoff and I am taking them to Paul, our Independent Examiner, in the next few days.
Please continue your prayers for Uganda, there are many refugee settlements in the country and although COVID19 cases are not prevalent at this time, many people are suffering from lack of food and basic needs in these centres. The World Food Programme has had to reduce supplies and many women, children and those with disabilities are crying out for help – newspaper photo attached.
Thank you for your continued support for the work Homes of Promise.
With love
Jane
