Visiting days, mid term reports, me visiting churches!
Sunday 26th October 2025
Dear friends,
Last weekend Tresor visited Musumba for Visiting Day at Trinity, he is doing well, Kodet went with him. This weekend he met up with Brian in Senior 2, whom I had an opportunity to talk with, at Bethany and today with Joshua in Senior 1 at Maranatha. I think Kasita has a school visiting day as well this weekend so perhaps Petra will be checking on him as the school is near where she lives in Mukono.
All is well at Georges Place. I spoke with the boys this morning (Saturday), they had been doing their washing and were playing football in the compound. Benard had just come back from Little Angels with the boys mid-term school reports and mentioned how pleased the teacher was with Raymond as there has been a great improvement in his work. Victor is still at home trying to process his ID, he had had an interesting time at the mushroom growers. The young boys all enjoyed swimming last weekend and this Sunday have gone for football. There is a camp planned that the football academy are arranging in December for the younger boys, so we are looking at if we can afford to send them to it. There is always really good Christian teaching at the academy which is run by a young couple Jonas (German) and Rhiter Walliser. Prayers please that we make the right decision.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10
I had a call from Precious on Friday afternoon- she is fine. I’ve also heard regularly from Tresor and Petra this week and of course a number of the older boys. Griffin let me know he had met up with Joseph and Augustine called me earlier today – one of his relatives has asked him to build a small house for her as she had seen photos of Dan’s new family home – he had just ordered the bricks! Denis is continuing with his sewing lessons.
I’ve been to two groups to talk about our work this week one the Mother’s Union at St. Peter’s and St. Martin’s in Edmonton and the other in St Albans. I collected up lots of boxes and bags of things to ship back to Uganda, thank you to all those who delivered/donated in different ways. Congratulations also to Robert and Catherine, members of Jesus Church, who celebrated 50 years of marriage with a service and celebrations and asked for gifts in aid of Homes of Promise and Bridge of Hope.
Looking forward to meeting up with some of you next Sunday. Thank you for all your love and support.
Love Jane x
