Last Sunday afternoon I visited Joshua at Maranatha High School, he is well and was delighted with the chicken and chips I took him as well as soap, toothpaste, gnut paste (the boys like to add to their food), bread, etc.
Sadly Peace was unwell at the weekend and unable to visit Brian at school but took his requirements on Monday afternoon. She has now been to the doctors and will not be back at work until Monday.
The little puppy Christine and I found has been re-homed with a family from church, who recently lost their dog and were looking for a puppy. Happy ending! Their young daughter Ruby named her Lola.
Raymond was off school a couple of days and Benard took him for his eyes to be tested, he was prescribed with eye drops and glasses. Benard also bought school shoes for Bethel and Ryan – they both seem to need shoes on a regular basis!
Precious attended her graduation ceremony last Saturday and enjoyed her day. She is always asking questions, which is great, especially about the boys. I have said she must come for a day to the Sailing Club when we have the camp at the end of August to meet most of them.
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”
Psalms 91:1-2
Monday afternoon I went to Entebbe to meet Karo who had flown in on a stopover from Dubai (Emirates) we had supper together and she’d booked a twin room so I could stay the night – real luxury! It was wonderful seeing her again after so long and being able to share and pray together. Hopefully Karo will be able to bid for more flights here so that the boys can see her. She is now a well qualified purser and in charge of all the cabin crew on flights. It was a lovely opportunity to see her – met the Captain as well!
All is well here, Benard went to visit Yusuf Thursday and took Moses and Robert with him. Yusuf is fine. It seems Moses is being placed in our care by the other organization helping his family, thank you for your prayers.
I have sent money to Saviour, Sula and Victor as there aren’t enough of us around to be visiting at the moment. Peace and I had called to see them at Connect Africa on the 30th May. We had a good report from Lynn about the boys, she is returning to Boston shortly and said how much she would miss them, as they finish their courses at the end of this year.
I’m starting to plan for the trip to Rwanda next week, for Trésor’s wedding – the car is being serviced Monday and I’ve been for a haircut!
I met Nora one afternoon, our lawyer and she and her family are all fine. The weather seems to have changed and the rainy season might well be over, we’ve had plenty of sunshine this week.
Thank you for all your love and support, we really appreciate all your interest in our work.
Blessings in His name.
