Halima off work, Yusuf finishes college, Augustine builds another house, the young boys get a week off school. I’m returning to Uganda.
Sunday 2nd November 2025
Dear friends,
I’ve started packing to go back to Uganda. I leave on Thursday. I took a sewing machine and masses of material, cotton threads, wool, buttons, clothes etc. for shipment (nearly £300 to send, just to give you an idea of how much there was, thank you to those who gave things and Lynn for transporting everything to the shipping agent.
All is well at George’s Place, although Halima has been off work this week as she has had problems with her wrist causing difficulty in lifting the saucepans, which is obviously dangerous; she is having treatment. Kodet has been cooking some of the week and we have arranged for him to go on a camp later this month with the youth group at KIC, (my church) as a thank you. Kodet also went with Tresor to collect Joseph (Yusuf) who has now finished his agricultural course and is back at the home. Vince works at the weekends so he will be doing the main cooking.
“I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers,”
Philemon 1:4
Tresor and Kodet also visited Joshua after church last Sunday – he seems to be getting bigger! Petra has visited Kasita today and sent a photo, he also is growing!
Augustine called me and one of his relatives has asked him to build a small house for her, he had just ordered more bricks – he sent me a photo. He is doing well.
The boys had football last Sunday and have gone for swimming today (Saturday), they have been off school this week as there were exams for some of the older children and everyone else was given a week off. From the photos of the compound I think it must have been hot as the grass has all gone, or it might be that a lot of football has been played!
I’m looking forward to going back now and seeing how much all the boys have grown. I did talk with some of them one day this week and even Ryan was wanting to talk to me which is an encouragement, he can be quite withdrawn. Moses and Robert both seem to be well settled, thank you for your prayers.
I look forward to seeing some of you later today, thank you for all your love and support.
Love and prayers.
Jane xx
