The new boys are settling in well,
Garden Party 18th July and Afternoon Tea and update 2nd August at Jesus Church, Forty Hill
Sunday 28th June 2026
Dear friends,
I’m enjoying a week away with my family on the island of Kos, we arrived on Tuesday and although it’s warm here there is always a lovely sea breeze. I spoke to Petra, Peace and Tresor during the week and everything is fine at George’s Place. The new boys seem to be settling in well. They have been given boxes, clothes, towels, sheets etc.
On Saturday I had a video call to George’s Place and spoke to some of the boys – everyone is well except for Raymond who has typhoid. Tresor was with them as Benard is off this weekend but Stephen is working and Vincent was cooking breakfast. I spoke with the new boys Laushen is the biggest one and Jordan (Edrin) the youngest. I also spoke to Kenneth who was doing his school homework – he really is focused on doing well at school. Omoding is improving and had spoken with his family, his older brother is planning to visit. Yusuf is still looking for work and making himself busy with cooking and helping the younger ones.
“The Lord replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14
I don’t seem to have heard from many of the older boys only Augustine who always keeps in touch and Tim, though did have a call from Anton, who is fine. This afternoon Saviour phoned to tell me him and Victor were cooking their supper. Saviour and Victor have been to the office, this week, sadly the Speke Hotel are not taking on any new staff at present so both of them are looking for employment. Prayers please that they find some work soon. Finding work is not easy for the older ones – though I think it’s difficult in the U.K.
Thank you for all your love and support of the boys. It seems really busy in the home with four new boys, Charles seems fine.
Looking forward to seeing some of you at the Garden Party or Afternoon Tea.
Jane x
