Rain, Dan’s family home, Moses part of Little Angels football team, Patrick has his new teeth!
Sunday 13th July 2025
Dear friends,
There has been lots of rain again this week and has felt really cool some days. A number of our older boys have fallen sick – Kodet had an allergy, causing him to have a swollen mouth, he is on medication. Griffin called and told me he was unwell and took himself to the clinic, he was off work 2 days. Tim is also unwell and came back to George’s Place, on Friday, we know that his immune system is compromised so we like to monitor him.
Tresor bought the new boys and Kodet jackets to keep them warm.
The new house for Dan’s family is coming along well – I’ve talked with Augustine a few times and Tresor went to add supplies of bricks, sand and cement on Wednesday. The roof will hopefully be started next Monday and the metal door and windows are in the process of being made. Peace and I are planning to travel next week for home tracing for Moses and Robert, passing through Kayunga, which will be a good opportunity to check on things.
Planning is in progress for the camp at the end of August, we have booked the site at the sailing club next to the Scout venue. Ian, Tresor and Benard are meeting to work on a programme this afternoon. We are hoping some members of the sailing club might be persuaded to take the boys sailing which would be a wonderful treat.
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Little Angels school telephoned and asked if Moses could be on their football team. Of course we have agreed – he and Robert won’t be registered for school until next term after we have found their families, the school are obviously impressed with his skills!
- Young Denis is enjoying his sewing machine lessons, unfortunately he has been suspended from school for a week for fighting. He is really too big to be in primary school with all the young ones but has missed so much education. We are considering putting him into vocational training next year, possibly in a nearby college so that he can stay at home.
- We are considering for Saidi to go into P7 at Maranatha boarding next year to study for his exams for Senior school.
- Please pray for wisdom for the staff as we plan for these boys futures.
- Musumba has arrived home for a week, mid term school holiday.
- Patrick has had his new teeth fitted and will be returning to Rukungiri shortly.
- I called at George’s Place Saturday afternoon as we were taking the boys swimming but Little Angels school had called and asked for the boys to go and play football, which was fine – I sat and talked with Kodet and Musumba and later went for a walk with Christine.
Thank you for all your love, kindness, prayers and support.
Love Jane x
