Dear friends,

I arrived back safely in Uganda early Friday morning and before going home went to George’s Place to see the boys who were surprised as they didn’t realise I was on my way back yet.  It was a good but tiring long journey.

Everyone is well, some of the boys are visiting their relatives in the villages.  There was great excitement as Bob handed out the Spurs kits and football boots!  Room for them to grow!  They had to give them back when they had had their photos taken as they will only be worn for special football events, and will hopefully be changing their allegiance from Man. United to Spurs!  I joined the boys for Bible reading, study and prayers (three asked to pray thanking God for my safe arrival and for the staff at GP – all very moving) followed by breakfast of boiled egg and dry bread.  The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home – no power until 7.30pm so no hot water either – but at least I got a bath before bed.

‘The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.’ Galatians 5 v22/23

Saturday morning I met Sue and a vicar, Sandra, who is on sabbatical leave in Uganda at Acacia Mall.  Sandra comes from Guildford Diocese, she was interested in our work and they came along in the afternoon to visit George’s Place and spend some time with us at KK beach.  (I had forgotten to mention that loud music continually plays at the beach). The boys wore their new football boots to do some training!

So tomorrow back to work – the boys are still off school so the house will be busy and I might be interrupted a few times but we shall all go out in the afternoon.

It was good being back in the UK even for a couple of weeks.  I am so sorry I shall miss the ‘Quartets and Cake’ afternoon I’m sure you’ll all have a good time.

With love and prayers.

Love and prayers.
