Last Sunday after church Tresor and Soleil went to visit Joshua who is fine, it was Maranatha’s School Visiting Day.
There were celebrations on Tuesday for Trésor’s birthday, last weekend I sent him the money for a cake. Soleil held a party for him and all the boys at George’s Place went to their flat, some of their young relatives were also there. It looks like they really enjoyed themselves – Soleil cooked for them all and then they enjoyed cake! I think the boys were on their very best behaviour from the photos and video clip I was sent! A real treat to visit someone’s home.
More things from Palmers Green High School have been shipped to Uganda – there was so much, when it arrives we will definitely take some of the uniforms to the villages where they will be really appreciated. Our thanks to all involved.
On Wednesday Peace went with Jessie to visit Yusuf, they took his supervisor from KCCA with them as well, the farm is on the way to Luwero, it was good to be able to talk with him and see the photos of the farm on which he is working – he’s planting and growing Irish potatoes and onions. He seems to be settling in well but missing his ‘brothers’!
I’ve heard from Precious this week, she worked with us when Petra was on maternity leave last year and is now busy doing voluntary work at her church. I’ve also spoken to Ian Wardle, Augustine and Tim (who really looks unwell 🙏 please for him).

We have bought Godfrey a grass strimmer in the hope that he can get some work locally – he has to collect it and return it to George’s Place daily, people take advantage of him but hopefully the need to support his family will help him to make better choices. He arrived at the home this afternoon with baby Kayalisa Jane who everyone wanted to hold.
Tresor has seen Simon Peter, he has been staying near Godfrey, he was arrested and has been in prison since the elections in January – I’m not sure if he was demonstrating or just in the wrong place at the wrong time! He is working making bricks. Hopefully he’ll be more careful in the future.
Four of our younger boys – Beckham, Raymond, Ram and Kenneth attended a church training in Kajjansi, Benard went with them, though it is his weekend off and Stephen is at the home. The boys are having fish for lunch today – Tresor must have bought it from the local fishing village – looks good. They are all fine and keeping busy with homework, football and Ludo. The bikes are having their punctures fixed and the table tennis table is being strengthened ready for the school holidays. They’re off to Banana Village this afternoon for a swim.
