Lynn arrives, James arrives, last minute preparations, the older boys arrive, and everyone is back from boarding school

Sunday 10th May 2026

Dear friends,

Lynn eventually came out of the airport terminal at midnight on Monday, she had been held up at passport control. I had been getting anxious that something was wrong with her visa as the plane had landed early! She was fine. On Tuesday morning we went to my house group at Judith’s home, we enjoyed lunch with the other ladies and then travelled up to see the boys at George’s Place.

We collected my son James early Wednesday morning from Entebbe and took him to the hotel where Griffin, Saviour and Victor work – he hasn’t seen them there yet! Lynn and I then went to the office to meet Petra, Peace and Augustine and I drove us all to St Stephen’s church to see the venue and for them to also sort out final details.
Lynn and I then went into Kampala as I had some shopping to do.

On Thursday we collected James and went back to George’s Place to spend time with the boys before James went with Tresor to meet Soleil, his wife, and see their new home. There are lots of boys in the home.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalms‬ ‭100‬:‭4‬ ‭

Friday morning when I arrived at work I was greeted by Odong, Ronald, Patrick and Omoding at the gate. Later Victor called to see them and then Emma, Asaph, and Ivan arrived. Petra and Peace took them for something to eat as the mini bus had broken down on the way, with Tresor, Augustine, Saviour and New Brian in. It’s all been a bit hectic. Lynn and James had decided to have a day of rest – Lynn at Las Vegas Hotel near my apartment and James at the Speke Hotel. I was at work and collecting the cake on the way home.

Everyone is looking forward to tomorrow – the older boys are busy catching up with each other and us – the office is not very big and with them, their luggage and us in here it’s been challenging. Also the man doing the music tomorrow has just arrived to be paid and Oswald who is making a small promotional video called in. Everything is happening! Thank you to everyone who has been in contact and who is praying for us.

Benard collected the school reports for the boys from Little Angels; Ram, Ryan and Raymond have really good reports, the boys are all well behaved and trying their best.

We had an amazing time at the Anniversary Thanksgiving Service. I’ll send a few photos today and others will follow – it was a long day!

Thank you for all your love and support.
