Dear friends,

I’ve had very little news from Uganda this week though have spoken to Shadrach a couple of times and know that everything is running smoothly at George’s Place.

Some of the boys spent Thursday afternoon clearing and digging up part of the compound, to make a garden – where they want to be planting vegetables and tomatoes. There is a large avocado tree in one corner which gives us lots of wonderful fruit. The boys will need to go and collect soil as the ‘mud’ is unsuitable for growing anything. We have grown water melons, tomatoes and maize in the past at the front of the small house and also on the roof of the garage (I was worried with the weight issue at the time!). Now they have decided to work on a gardening project.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭

Big Brian returned to Don Bosco Vocational Institute on Sunday as he is a final year student to finish his plumbing and welding course, which is good news. I spoke to him on the car journey and he was happy to be going back.

The boys have had homeschooling this week and art classes but I haven’t heard if they have started on their mat making. The cars are both being worked on and will hopefully be fixed shortly.

Thank you for your continued love and support for our work, especially during these difficult times.

Jane
